Welcome back or if this is your first time here welcome...

The last few weeks have been extremely busy for me and left little to no time to rest, which is less than ideal. I have a condition called FND and struggle most days but it's alot worse at the moment (I may explain how it affects me in a future post but not right now). Being in a flair this weekend has forced me to rest and take time to care for myself. In order to take time for myself with no interruptions I emersed myself in gaming, I am a big fan of cozy games, I sat for a long time especially on Sunday playing new games that I had downloaded in the last few months ready for when I had time to play.

How to find new cozy games:

First and foremost I find new games by following people on Tik Tok and YouTube

These three lovelies are where I find new games and I am forever thankful to them, they don't just post games for purchase they also show games you can get for free and games that are new and upcoming. I have played alot of game demos that these people have suggested and can't wait to get the full versions.

These are my current top 5 complete games but I am also loving the demo for 'Gourdlets'. These are games that I find cozy and relaxing in different ways as each is vastly different from each other.

Marie's Room

Marie's Room is a free short story game in which you explore your friend Marie's room remembering how things used to be, but something isn't quite right. Explore Marie's room to find out what happened to Marie. While this game is short it is still gripping and I found myself getting emotionally involved and desperate to find all the missing pieces. This game is designed to be played in one session as there is no save game mode but it is most definitely worth playing. It took me around 45 minutes to an hour to play the game all the way through. I love this game definitely 5* from me, I can't wait to play the developers newer game 'Ghost on the Shore'.

Gourdlets

Gourdlets is only out as a demo at the moment but I am so excited to play the full version when it releases. This sandbox city builder is so cute and is best played in a relaxed environment and is sure to calm your stresses. There are no goals or objectives just building and creating a world for your Gourdlet buddies to explore and live in. Watch them fish and explore the world you created just for them. While the game doesn't have a release date yet it is definitely worth adding to your wishlist and getting stuck into the demo ready for the release. Kick back and relax this game is definitely cozy to the core.

Birth

Birth is a beautiful adventure puzzle game about creating a friend out of spare bones and organs you find around town by solving puzzles. The hand-drawn art style is absolutely stunning and draws you completely into the world. Trying to keep loneliness at bay you go of in search of bones and organs to build yourself a friend. This game is entrancing and makes you think, considering your own loneliness, how far would you go to have a friend? Birth is a game that is most definitely affordable at only £8.29 (when writing this post) and definitely worth playing if you want a calm game that has a slightly creepy and quirky art style.

A Short Hike

A Short Hike is another gorgeous game. Explore the mountainside landscape in this open world game while you try to to reach the summit of Hawk Peak in order to call your mum while you're away with your ranger aunt. Climb, hike and soar through this beautiful world, completing tasks on your way up the mountain. Meet all the characters and chat with them offer your help and discover new hidden paths. This game is beautiful and relaxing, especially when you can't hike yourself, why not go on a virtual adventure. A Short Hike is another affordable game at only £5.79 (at time of writing) so why not take a morning or afternoon to explore the landscape of Hawk Peak Provincial Park.

Sticky Business

Sticky Business is a game I have been playing for hours on end, this game is so calming in a world filled with so much stress. The cute colours and fun elements you use to design your own custom stickers are brilliant. In this game you design, print and package your stickers, unleash your creativity. This is the perfect game if you want all the fun of running a sticker business with none of the stress. Work hard to design stickers your customers love and print them and try to keep up with orders as your business blooms.

Assemble with Care

Assemble with Care is a super cozy game where an antique restorer has travelled to the sunny town of Bellariva with no idea how broken down the town is. As you meet different members of the town you will help them fix their possessions and learn about them and their relationships with others. Fixing things as you go can you leave this town a little less broken than when you came here. Play over just a few hours in this relaxing town and unwind from the stresses of life. This game is awesome and at only £5.79 (at time of writing) how could you pass up this new adventure.

Slime Rancher

Slime Rancher may not be classed as cozy by alot of people but it is one of the games I find most relaxing a mix of farming sim and open world play enjoy exploring the land of Far Far Range, Caring for the slimes on your Ranch, and completing orders for other rangers. While a little more expensive than the other games I talked about it is definitely still affordable at £14.99 (at time of writing) and with longer game play definitely worth the extra couple of pounds. If you're anything like me you will become obsessed with this game and struggle to step away. There is second Slime Rancher out now on early release which I will definitely be getting as soon as I finish the first one.
